Organic Gluten Free Steel Cut Oats
Steel cut oats are also know as pinhead oats. coarse oatmeal. or Irish oatmeal.
It is the inner kernel of the whole oats with the inedible hulls removed. and is then chopped into two or three pinhead-sized pieces. This is why it has a more chewier and coarser texture the rolled oats. Steel cut oats is traditionally used to make porridge. It does take a little longer to cook though.
